South Hylton Local History Society was formed in May 1996 by a small group of like minded Hyltonians  who wished to preserve the unique history of the village for future generations.  From a humble beginning, our membership has risen from 12 to 125 and we are always happy to welcome new members..


We are always pleased to receive anything which is of local interest, memories, photographs, or documents, all of which add to the portrayal of South Hylton in the past.  If you have anything to contribute you can contact us by any of the following methods below -
